Viewpoints from Charlène SUEUR - PhD Student - Advanced International Course - Institut Curie :
From March 13th to 20th, I took part in the 19th Course on Epigenetics, organized by the Institut Curie in Paris. The aim of the course was to provide an overview of epigenetic mechanisms and their links with gene expression and chromatin dynamics in different systems. I was able to meet and listen to a large number of very interesting speakers, all experts in the field of epigenetics. The days were very intense, and apart from the lectures, we had to do some personal work. We presented our own scientific project through a poster, and took part in the Journal Club in pairs to present and review key articles proposed by the speakers. Various workshops were also on the program: a "career development", "epi-courses" such as an "Art & Science" workshop. It was a great opportunity to take part in this international course, meeting PhD students from all over Europe and even from other continents. I really enjoy it and I'd like to thank ITI Innovec again for the followship that enabled me to take part in this course
